WeARE@CLC: We partner with Central Lakes College to bring education and sexual health services to more than 5,000 students 2 days every week. Clinic services include birth control, STI testing and treatment and education. As part our commitment to outreach education, WeARE hosts a monthly Lunch and Learn series on sexual health topics, sponsors community education forums and works closely with the nursing program to ensure expanded education opportunities for these students.
We partner with Port boy’s and girl’s home. We offer our Let’s Talk series on sexual health topics such as consent, contraception options, condoms, sexually transmitted diseases, and gender 101.
We partner with The Shop to provide monthly SxTalks to youth and young adults. Some examples of recent SxTalks include sexual health topics such as consent, sexually transmitted infections, and gender 101.
We partner with the Mid-Minnesota Women’s Center (MMWC) in Brainerd to staff a Registered Nurse weekly at the shelter who offers education and sexually transmitted infection testing. Residents of MMWC are transported to WeARE The Clinic for annual exams, birth control, and other appointments with a medical professional.
